About Swami Anand Arun

Sw. Anand Arun was born in Janakpur. From the very childhood, he had a deep search for spirituality and religiousness. In this journey, he met and had association with many meditators, and spiritual leaders but nobody could satisfy his spiritual thirst.

By profession he is a civil Engineer and heads a successful building consultancy "Building Design Authority" in Kathmandu.

On first glimpse of Osho on 29th march 1969 while in the university hiswhole being became evident that this was the soul he was searching for so long. On October 1969, he attended his first camp "Mein Mrityu Sikhata Hun" at Dwarika conducted by Osho. Osho himself after establishment of Poona commune initiated him in Neo-Sannyas in 1974.

As instructed by Osho, he returned to Nepal and in December 21, 1974 he started Asheesh Rajneesh Meditation Center at Tahachal, Kathmandu, the first Osho meditation center in Nepal. This was the beginning of Osho movement in Nepal.

In 1974, Swami Anand Arun conducted his first meditation camp at India. In June 29, 1984 Osho declared him Acharya and Bodhisattva. In Nov, 1986 in Bombay Osho declared him as the Director of meditation and spiritual growth affiliated to Rajneesh Mystery School.

March 21, 1990 with the help of dedicated friends swami Arun established Osho Tapoban on the Nagarjuna Hills. Since then Osho Tapoban has remained as the home for the people on the path and has become popular worldwise asa growth center.

Swami Arun has conducted more than 300 meditation camps and initiated more than forty thousand people from 80 countries.

He has been traveling and conducting meditaiton camps in Nepal, India, UK, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, USA and Canada.

He was a regular column writer in the national weekly magazine's "Samaya" spirituality section about Osho and his message. The collection of these articles have been published as two books "Santa Darshan" and "AntarYatra" by Osho Tapoban.
